The southeastern US offers an abundance of native plants suitable for our home landscapes here in Serenbe and Chattahoochee Hills. During this presentation, we’ll talk about WHY we should plant natives, WHAT plant choices to make that will be site appropriate and grow successfully in your home landscape and suggestions for WHERE you can purchase them.  

Topics will include:

1. Benefits of gardening with native plants

2. Choosing plants for your garden based on        

a. Soil type        

b. Light exposure        

c. Moisture requirements        

d. Deer and/or rabbit resistance

3. Recommended sources for native plants in our area
